Barred Plymouth Rock gender 16 week

These are my Dad's chickens. I noticed they are both a tad lighter in color than his 3rd Barred Plymouth Rock. I hope I'm not spotting early saddle feathers. Can anyone help confirm these are pullets for my Dad?
