Hoping it's not a cockerel.. That would mean my second one sound as a pullet from this feed store!

Cockerel! I assume both pictures are of the same bird because I would have said Cockerel for the 2nd recent photo as well.
yeah was suppose to be a pullet. was in the pullet bin, this is the second one i purchased as a pullet... I'm kind of new to chickens so I didn't really look into how to sex them and thought the feed store was going to be accurate HA!Did the place tell you what it was before giving it to you? You can sex them as chicks by the spot on the head. If it's a small grey spot, it is a hen. If large, or even small, and yellow, then it's a cockerel.
yep. Thanks.. now I know haha. They kinda did a mistake, then. I did that once, but latter I realized it was looking rather red faced and grey rather than black. It had a small yellow spot on the head, not a grey one. I hope I helped with your future Barred Rock sexing problems. With Barred Rocks you'll always be able to tell if it's a pullet or a cockerel just by, either spot check or bar colors.
