That is what my husband said, lol when I tell him that I know it will crush young. We really love salt and we kind of figured we were lucky with the rooster and a hen right off

Every time they 8 camo pepper would put her claw/foot over the food break it down and then salt would come behind and eat. Salt really took a follow I thought that was interesting and his wife could never tell who was who.

To make sure I'm on the same page in all these pics you've posted, Salt is the one that looks kind of like a young red shouldered yokahama cockerel (the white chicken), and Pepper is the barred rock pullet. Correct?

I don't know if you're still in question about if she is a boy or girl, as this is a couple weeks later. But I can post a pic of my 4mo old barred rock rooster to compare. Yours looks more like my pullets. Also, by any chance if you live anywhere near me, (I'm in California) and are still looking for a rooster, I need to rehome mine. But am looking for a loving home, and one that won't eat him
