Hi All,

This BR looks suspiciously like a cockerel to me. She/he is about 3 months old. The Black sex links doesn't look like anything I've seen on-line? Also, 3 months old. I was told they are RIR/BR. I am confused.

The "black sex-link" you're showing is a silver-laced wyandotte pullet. Pretty! Lucky you!

The BR doesn't look like the cockerels we had. I'm crossing my fingers that it's a female.

I agree - you have a SLW pullet & a BR pullet. I had the same thing happen to me in reverse -- I bought 'gold laced wyandotte' pullets from my feed store and they turned out to be black sexlinks.

Silver laced wynadotte? Well that is certainly something I wasn't expecting.

Are you guys sure about the BR? I think it's got funky tail feathers starting up. I have 2 BR hens, but maybe they just have really dull tails.

the barred rock is a pullet we we have 20 more just like her, if she was a he, he would be a lighter color and would be bigger at that age

Those last 3 posts are right, I think. I didn't see the saddle feathers on the barred bird before. I think that is a black sex-link male. Sorry! Am I seeing red shadows on its chest, too? It's kind of blurry in front in the pics, and I can't really tell. That bird didn't want to pose for pictures, did it?
