Almost sure that this is a cockerel- the barring looks too white-heavy to be a pullet, and the comb is large (which isn't always a sure sign, especially as it's still light, but taken with the feathers I'd count it.)

Anyway, as I'm sure you already know I'm not sure, and you won't be able to tell for certain for a few weeks. Still, boy is my guess

By the coloring and comb I'm going to say cockerel. Those white bars look pretty thick. It looks like a cockerel as a chick to me too.

Well usually the roo's do not like physical contact,and hens are more docile. Just a self experienced

Does it bite when you pick it up ? If not it's a pulley if so it's a roo

You may have experienced this, but it would just be coincidence.
