Barred Rock Cockerels

Hey, I’ve got 3 Barred Rock Cockerels. They’re about 22 weeks old and None of them are crowing. Also have 1 Barred Rock Pullet and 1 RIR Pullet who I believe are not yet laying. Is this normal?

My BPRs and RIRs started laying at about 25-26 weeks. But cockerels started crowing much earlier! Strange.

Their combs will turn red when they're ready to lay.If you only have 2 hens they'll be raped repeatedly by the 3 cockerels.

Thanks for that! We have 4 other girls but we I live we aren’t allowed roosters so the are being re homed
