interesting, I've never seen a chicken molting.

Mine don't seem to do it....

Phoebe doesn't look like she's lost that many feathers...

what age do they usually molt? i seem to forget those things. one of my roosters that is now 2 years oldhas never molted in his life. although it may have been a very faint molt, i have heard people say that very few chickens never molt but there are some. i may have heard wrong tho.

Pheebs molted when she was about 1.5 years, but it varies depending on the chicken and the breed.
