Barred Rock Contest! Enter by June 9th!

Cool, I didn't even realize there was a Barred Rock contest until today. Here are mine.

First is Nightingale. In this pic about 7 months old.....she was killed by an unknown predator a few months ago.

Next is Star. He is about 7 weeks old and just precious!!!! He is acting like he will be a good little roo already.

Bantam Barred Plymoth Rock Cockerel, Fabio!

I was using him to help me teach our local 4-h about grooming techniques. He was being as squirmy worm at first and I held him like this until he calmed down.

All of the bantams are no fair! LOL. They are so much more typey than the standards.

He's so cute, when one of the hens makes a certain cluck that means 'i need to lay an egg' he runs in ahead of them and actually rearranges their nest box, fluffs it up and everything! Then he'll stand right next to it while the hen tries it out, and if she doesn't like it she'll get back out and right back in he goes rearranging it, he'll keep doing it until it tickles her fancy!

And whenever he finds treats he makes a little gobble noise and the nearest hen comes and gets it, he'll hand it right over into her beak. And when we're around talking he makes noises like laughter!

He's a hoot! I want a boyfriend like him!
