Barred Rock Egg Production

I'm curious about their diet because of the spring molt more than anything.
A 20% protein feed with oyster shell calcium on the side is the most recommended diet.
The protein they are getting. And I have calcium and grit free feeding in the yard for them. Sometimes I will toss some out for them to forage. But the sardines also have calcium.

I am also doing ACV, with mother, in their daily water.

Our weather has been really cool and overcast this summer.

See my response above to swamphiker. I list and explain their daily diet and what I am currently seeing.

Stop the meal worms and soldier fly larvae, they contain way too much fat.

At 2+ years old dual purpose hens tend to accumulate fat instead of laying eggs if given too much carbohydrates and fats. I have some older ones as well that do tend more to the meat bird side instead of being productive layers.

Only give the ACV once per week or three consecutive days per fortnight as it will interfere with their calcium uptake.
