Both are pullets.Males would have larger, redder combs and wattles and lighter coloring.

Are you sure the one on top is not a roo? It has a bit of a comb starting there. Is it a little bigger than the other one?

They both look like pullets to me.

I don't know if this helps but the top one has always been real dark almost black as a chick the bottom one is way lighter

the top one is also bigger because even though they came from same hen I bought the top one first and it got organic feed and free range were as the bottom one was in a small area with a whole bunch of others...... all of my first chickens are bigger in size than the second batch I bought three weeks later although same age and still from same clutch of eggs when compared my first round was huge next to them

thanks so much everyone its looking like everyone is leaning toward pullets which makes my day they developed faster than my golden laced which by the way all girls except one boy I was hoping that I didn't have to cockerels
