Barred Rock Gender Help!

Yours look just like mine...and mine are definitely girls. One of my two BRs was such a late bloomer, and so very agressive, that I was worried; but now they both lay beautiful eggs.

I am glad I am not the only one that sees this because people say that Barred Rocks are so sweet. I guess I have a semi-rotten batch!

I say there all girls some just a little more mature. O'yeah some of them ol' barred hens can be pretty testy. I've put young pullets in the pens with older hens and they can really hold their own and sometimes they gain in the pecking ladder pretty quick. Sometimes I think they have about a half a testicle somewhere in their makeup. They sure have a different kick in them or something. You can bet if I go out in the chicken yard and pick up their waterer or something and there's a bug its usually a barred hen right there to snatch it it up almost as if they already know.

ESP I guess.

Pretty nice looking girls I just love mine, I'm gonna hatch some BSLinks out of mine this spring. They sure make a very energetic hybrid egg layer.
