Barred Rock Gender?

Not sure if she is younger, just grayer, or a cockerel... Any guesses?

Too young.

Got the cockerel thing going on, but too young. At 6 weeks, you can sex them easily as the cockerels will sport red combs and small red wattles spring forth. Pullets don't do this at that age.

If you need to dispose of the cockerels later, you can. Right now it doesn't matter. He's too young to leave the brooder anyhow.

I was always taught that females feather out quicker than males do. So far this is true to my birds.
