Barred rock hen or roo?

If that batch of chickens are all the same age, then your Barred Rock is a rooster due to the large red comb and wattles.

I bought from a local farmer and he was unsure, I'm guessing he had to many birds to keep track. But the ad said 20 weeks.

Yes, it is a cockerel--and I agree with the others, not a pure breed rock. Yes, you need to start handling him! He is a pretty rooster though
