We’ve had these guys since mid April so they’re almost full grown and I was pretty sure all 6 of my Barred Rocks were hens but when I took a second look at the one hen her comb seemed to be twice the size and much redder than the other 5. We got bantams the same time as them and one of them happened to be a rooster and he’s been crowing for about a month now so if she’s a rooster I think shed be crowing as well. Just want to confirm that she is indeed a she.

The one in question:

What the others look like:

I think she is just getting ready to lay. It's like she went through puberty.
Looks like a hen.
You will know if she/he either starts to lay eggs or starts to crow.
She's a pullet closest to point of lay.
Looks like a hen about to lay.
X2, as is the one behind her in the top photo.....
Thank you all!! It never hurts to double check ;)

Man, my BR was born 1st of march and still has the tiniest light comb just like the day she was born.. jealous.
