Barred rock hen or roo?

Barred rock hen or rooster? approximately 2 months old! I wasnt sure on the gender since this one seems a lot darker than my other barred rock that I am sure is a roo

Do you have any other BR's, or just the pair. If you had a female around, the difference is night and day.

Sorry but I have to beg to differ. The first looks like my BR hens. The second could be a cockerel, but not positive on that one.

They can be confusing. But these are only 8 weeks old.

Ok, sorry I missed the 8 week old thing. So yes, cockerels. I went through the baby pics of my BR hens and they were between 14 to 16 weeks before they were sporting their crests and wattles. Sorry.
