I was thinking that, There are some parts that look like a rooster, I only say pullet because my neighbor has 3 hens with very big combs and they look very similar to the original poster's chicken but it could be a rooster.

I’ve raised barred rocks ALOT over the years and this really isn’t unusual….she’s a she for sure….the breed has been overbred and line bred so much that these recessive genes come out… as long as her comb doesn’t hinder her ability to see she’ll be a fine and quite lovely egg layer!! Btw they all look super happy and healthy so kudos to you!!

If you don’t mind me asking did they come from a hatchery or a feed store bc they are very lovely birds for sure!

They all came from our local tractor supply. We got 9 chicks and all ended up being ladies, so I think we hit the chicken lottery! lol
