Barred rock hens eggs.

My barred rock hens eggs are very light. I thought they were supposed to be darker brown. Does anyone else have barred rocks that lay as light eggs as mine?

It's difficult to measure color in photos, but my barred rock (horstman bantams, duckworth LF) eggs are on the lighter end of brown for the most part.

My BR also lay a light brown egg.

If a breeder breeds for a specific egg shell shade, the eggs of that flock will be pretty close to that shade. If a breeder does not specifically breed for that trait the actual egg shall shade of brown can be all over the board.

Certain breeds should lay certain shades of eggs according to the SOP (Standard of Perfection). A lot of breeders don’t pay much attention to that.

I got her from a breeder who breeds different chickens.

Then you might contact the breeder and see if that is one of the traits they breed for.
