I have 2 "barred rocks" from tractor supply. About 4.5-5 weeks old.
When they started feathering one was significantly lighter so I assumed she was a he. NOW the darker one is larger and developing a comb faster... he/she also has a lighter neck and darker body, which I'd never seen in my other barred rocks.
What's going on here?
Also, the tan girl was supposed to be an EE and is looking like a legbar🤣
The last 2 photos are the lighter/smaller one for comparison.
Thanks in advance!

You can't sex by barring on some hatchery Barred rocks, but it's early so I'd say cockerel on the second for now.
Your ee is an ee, just based of an legbar instead of ameracauna. An ee is just a collective term for possibly colored egg laying bird.

OK thanks. I have other EE's and they must be on the ameracauna side, glad she's going to be a little different!
