I'm having the same question! If I have a Roo, I have to rehome him right away because my city doesn't allow them and I'm just on the county/city line. They are somewhat lenient on my street because we have more space between the houses and we have about 1.5 acres. I have more than allowed on one acre/ 6 are allowed on land less than one acre within city limits and I have 4 adults and 7 babies which will make 11 once they are grown, but like I said, I have about 1.5 acres, so I'm not really worried about that part. However, since I'm 'technically' in the city separated by the street I live on, I wouldn't want to push them by having a rooster.
Characteristics I'm noticing:
legs are twice as thick as all the others (of all 3 breeds I have)
Weird behavior = squatting then running all fluffed out, head butting, chest bumping
looks more striped
body is 'fatter'
they are 6 weeks old
for the first 4 weeks I just thought this particular bird was kind of lopsided as it would fall over a lot like it was top heavy and it acted weird, but I really just thought it was a weird bird... now I'm not so sure.
*In the first picture, the one in question is on top. I know the 2 closer to me are Pullets for SURE.
*2nd picture, best I could get of the side. This bird likes to squat down and jump and run a LOT
*3rd picture - the one in the middle - notice my sweet buff Georgia poking her head up wondering what I'm doing. <3
*4th picture, looking directly at the camera I notice a slight pinking of the comb, but they are only 6 weeks old
any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
thank you in advance
