Barred Rock Mix Gender?

I just wanted to check with all of you chicken gurus. What do you think the gender is?

You say it's a barred rock mix.....which parent was the barred rock? If it was the momma, that's a roo, cause it's a sex link chick. But if the dad was barred, I don't think you can go by the appearance of the headspot, that's only for full blooded barred birds.

I don't know which parent was which. I don't even know what the other breed is. I just needed a friend for a chick we are adopting tomorrow. Either way, I'm still keeping it. I was just curious. There are a whole lot of knowledgeable chicken lovers on this site.
