Hey guys Ive posted before,. I have a little lady that is in question. I asked before when she was younger. Does she look like a Plymouth Barred rock? I've been told by other chicken groups she could be Maran or Dominique but the combs don't match those breeds. Her feathers seem thin but healthy. She is poofed up alot of the time. No mites no lice. She is happy and spunky. Her neck feathers have a slight curl (if that helps) hope you can help. I've gotten alot of different options on her and am just confused now.

Barred Plymouth rock. Cuckoo marans have pink/white legs while barred rocks have yellow. And dominiques have a different comb while the other two have single combs.

Thank you. Now before I was told not to breed her if she is a barred rock. Can you tell me why? Is it cause something might be wrong with her, or is it more to do with her feathering?
I’ve NEVER had someone tell me that....especially if it was a specific breed. That’s really odd. I mean she looks like a good solid bird.

They said something of her being poor quality and not breed her. I just thought it was because of the weird feathers that curve around her neck and the feathers that sit kinda funny on her back.

Perhaps they meant don't breed her if you're wanting a good line of barred rocks which meet breed standard?
