Barred Rock pullet or roo?

He/she is about 2.5 months old, having a hard time figuring this one out. Comb & waddles are definitely bigger then my BR pullers, but on the other hand they seem small/pinkish for its age? I thought roo because of the lighter barring but not sure if that's always the case?

Thanks, was actually hoping he was a rooster, slow to mature I guess, compared to the C Maron and B Australorp roo's I have of the same age.
