Barred rock pullet

I have two barred rocks...hopefully pullets. What is the best way to tell if they are females for sure. They also each have one red feather on their backs on the same side. Is that normal ?

They both look like cockerels...how old are they?

I don't know it's just the picture, but the rooster on the right of the first pic looks like he's knock-kneed.

The picture does make the knees look funny. I think he/she was switching running directions. They are about 10-12 weeks. The lady who I purchased them from held a needle and string above their heads to sex them. Will I know in a few more weeks for sure what they are?
