Barred Rock Roo? Can anyone help?

Can anyone tell me if this is a pullet or cockerel? We are 4 weeks old and I was getting suspicious.

Uh Oh, won't be able to keep him because of noise. I thought he looked like he was trying to crow today but no sound came out.

He's a litle dark for a cockerel, but the early comb and wattle development indicate male.

That is a cockerel. His coloring, feather stage, legs and comb all say the same thing. I've probably raised hundreds of Barred Rock chicks and there's no mistaking that one.
