Barred Rock Roo?

Is this a Barred Rock Roo or a maran? He has silver legs. Our BR pullet has yellow legs.

It was given to me as a male BR to breed with my female BR. After reading some posts I thought he was a maran.If I breed them will they just be mutts? I'm not familiar with marans.Love my BR pullet!
