Barred Rock Roos unfreindly/mean?

Hi all!
I've got about 21 birds that we're slaughtering starting today. The goal is to get it down to 3. (two hens and one roo) I've picked out the three that I find friendliest/prettiest and easiest to manage but a friend of ours is insisting we're not going to be happy with our choices.
I bought seven barred rocks, seven light brahmas and seven whyndottes to see which breed I liked best. The brahmas are gorgeous but such paranoid spazs, same with the whyndottes (with the exeption of one sweet wonderful hen I'm keeping) and six out of seven of my barred rocks are roos!
I've picked out one barred rock roo, one barred rock hen and one whyndotte hen. All three are sweet, let me hold them and don't mind being petted. (where as the rest of the flock is paranoid, quick to scare and spaz out!! Inspite of all being handled from day one.)
My question is this. Is it likely my barred rock roo will turn on me and be a jerk? My friend is insisting that she's never seen a nice barred rock in all her life of living on a farm. I'm sure there must be exceptions to this "rule" but is it likely or am I wasting my time and affections?

I have had far more RIR attack than barred rocks. I am not going to say it is impossible, but I would say highly unlikely.

I could, but we wanted them for meat so I'm not worried about that part. They're not the best meat birds...but we were trying for good all purpose birds which is why we wanted the barred rocks to keep. Why do you ask about selling them?

And as far as that goes, you could always send him the way of the others if he does become violent/unfriendly.

That's kind of what we were thinking. We're hoping to keep one roo at least so we'll have incubatable chicks for next season. But...we've got some dorking roos so I guess it wouldn't be the end of the world if the barred rock turns out to suck. Hmmm..

My BR roo is very friendly. Have never had a bad experience with him.

I have 2 barred rock roos, 1 is 4 and the other is 2 and they are the friendliest tamest best roos ever.

Best rooster I ever had was my Barred Rock, Hawkeye. I kept three of his sons and two of them are angels. One has been really good his whole life, but there was a point in time where he became frustrated with a situation and bit me and ran at me a couple of times. The situation has changed and he is back with the main flock and is being his old self again. He was well over a year old at the time and has not been aggressive since that period at all. I actually think Barred Rocks in general are wonderful roosters, but as always, there are individual differences.

i am having trouble with 1 barred rok roo now, but i think i have the exception they are really nice birds and you should be alright
