Well we ended up with a rooster out of the three barred rock chicks we bought a couple of months ago. Can't have roosters in my area so looking for a new home as the first option, we all know option two... 
Anyway, I live in the Spokane Valley area of Eastern WA... If there's anyone around that's looking for a Barred Rock rooster I've got a fine example here, will try and post a photo later.
