I think Walmarts does carry it. Also Brewers Yeast is high in Bvitamins. Give ur chick any dark green veggies esp kale or spinach. They have b vit too.

Good info. I'm out the door shortly to go to the grocery store (not WalMart, but HEB...a Texas thang! LOL - they have a huge pharmacy section) and I'll search for the vitamins. I feel like they should have it. If they don't, I'm going out later to pick up my granddaughter for the week-end, and we drive by a health food store on the way, so I'll stop there. I have Brewers yeast. Just took the sweet girl some oatmeal, which she ate with gusto (with other chickens gathered around her cage with mouths drooling.) I should have sprinkled the yeast on it. Would you give a whole packet of the yeast, or what? Looks like too much of that might not be safe, but I sure don't know.

I wouldn't use an active yeast- that could blow up and hurt them.

Nutritional yeast is something often found in the bulk section of natural foods stores as a flavoring additive, and it's quite different.

You can get injectable Super B Complex in a farm store in the medicine section, and it can be added to water and food. This is how I boost B in an intense form.

That scribbling sound you hear is me writing this info down. I couldn't make it without this board, for sure! Thanks so much! Our HEB even has a section of natural foods. And Tractor Supply is my friend...I'll see about the injectable Super B complex.
And I did feel like my regular yeast wouldn't be good to use, so I'll stay away from that for now.
I just wonder why one chicken would have this deficiency (if that is what she has) and none of the others do? This just came on suddenly. She was absolutely fine, and then suddenly she is down. That's why I thought it was probably an injury (and I still think it might be). I've added more sand to the coop to soften their landing off the roost (I hope!)
