Hello! I am newer to chicken raising and had a question about my 9 month old barred rock. I noticed her comb today and the tips seemed black and crusty. I noticed that one of my brown leghorns (or she might me a cream legbar, we were given her as a chick with no idea what she is) has a little spot on her comb too. Possibly related, one of my white leghorns has a crusty/cracked spot on her comb and it is appearing more floppy than normal. The other white leghorns has a black spot on her waddle. I haven’t noticed any changes in their poop. We had our first coop break in last week and a bobcat took out our other barred rock so they were stressed and quit laying for a few days. We’ve got the BR and one of the white leghorns back to laying since, so I think that is unrelated to the comb issue. Any ideas what this is? We live in The south and it has been hot so it’s definitely not frostbite!
