Barred Rock ?with pics

I have several barred rocks and now I have one that is white with black barring is this normal or just one trying to be different?

Usually the lighter ones are the roos!

Ive seen some that were really black and some that were really white, i think its just variation in the breed. Are they pure barred rocks? Maybe its a mix and is showing some more white?

Yes, the male has two barring genes, hence the white bars are wider, making him appear much lighter overall. Females are darker almost all the time.

thanks for the help. He is about nine weeks old also just stalled out growing but has started growing a little again.
