on wed. one of our barred rocks became lathargic and having runny green/ white poop. we isolated her. she will not eat or drink. she is just laying there. it's sun. night and she's still hanging on. she doesn't seem to be destressed in anyway. any thaughts? thankyou, vinnie

Vinnie, That's a long time without food or drink. For starters, try to get her hydrated. If she won't drink on her own, see if she'll dabble in any wet fruit, like watermelon or cut up berries. Also, 3 drops Polyvisol liquid children's vitamins daily - dribble very gently along her beak line with a dropper so she swallows on her own and doesn't choke.

Check the 'sticky' that heads this Emergency section and include in your response answers to the questions there so folks can best help you. Even add to it anything else that could provide clues. Make sure you include her age, diet, egg laying habits (or lack thereof), whether there have been any new additons to the flock, whether she's been wormed...anything at all that could provide helpful hints. If possible, she should be seen by a vet because she sounds in pretty dire need of imminent medical intervention.
