Barred Rock

Barred rocks are quickly becoming my favorite breed. Mine are extremely friendly and tame. Every time me or my wife sit down. We end up wearing barred rocks. Chickens on the shoulders, head and lap. They follow us around and are always under foot. My other girls run up on us. And if we don't have treats. They wander off doing their own thing. Barred rocks are a bit bossy to the other girls. Especially to the wyandottes. But nothing too serious. All in all a wonderful breed. Just wanted to share. Take care.

I am a huge fan of barred rocks, too! They tick all of the boxes in terms of what makes a good chicken in my opinion!
