Barred Rocks, anyone?

My red leghorn chicks came from Ideal Poultry today as promised. The first thing I saw when I was opening the lid was a barred rock. The note on the invoice tell the story: Male Barred Rocks added for warmth! Thankfully, it was only 4. Any of my neighbors want one? Pretty please?

I ordered 12 BR's from Ideal and they put in male 7 RIR. I raised them all together and, when the 7 RIR's got about 15 weeks I processed them and put them in my freezer for chicken and noodle chickens. I sort of saw it as free chicken.
