I'm not sure how old your original post was, but I was always told that you can tell male from female BR b/c the female will have black on the front of her legs, which is why they are popular. I imagine if your post was old, they are crowing by now and you have your answer..but just in case not, my vote is for both male. The one with the bigger comb is the dominant one..

But I am not an expert or anything.

Twocrickets I don't think that works for crosses though. The confusing thing is that to me I was expecting more white on my roos because in BRs the pullet is lighter but again I am sure it depends on the cross in the case of mixed birds.

These are both Hens and they are both Barred rocks from my flock.....
so yours look like this they are both hens.

UPDATE!!

Still don't know for sure the gender but here are some pics I took today. These two are now about 10 weeks old. Combs are red, but still no definite saddle feathers:

Both males, IMO. And they could certainly be pure BRs. You'll know when the hackles, saddles are fully in. Most black sexlink males have a green tail feathers and lots of weird white in the hackle and saddle area. They don't look like sexlink males to me at this point.

I can plainly see the saddle feathers coming in on the last pic...see the skinny, iridescent ones right on the back before the tail starts?

In any case, they are definite cockerels. No BR pullet has a bright red comb like that at 10 weeks old.
