Barred rocks or cuckoo marans?

Are these guys barred rocks or cuckoo marans? They have white/pink legs. Pullets or cockerels? They are about 15 weeks old. Thanks for y'alls help!

Since the legs are grey and not yellow they are cuckoo marans.

Sounds likely, but it could just be a hatchery quality Barred Rock if it came from TSC. Here's mine, they don't have yellow legs but are Barred Rocks.





However, looking at it, the plumage is cuckoo, not barred. The eggs will most likely be darker, too.

Good point on the hatchery quality barred rocks. I'm hoping for some dark eggs but I'm happy either way. Hopefully it won't be long and we will know for sure. They might just be barred rock marans mix being they are from hatchery? Is that common practice with those places or is it just that they don't cull and breed specific?

Neither....they are pigeons with a glandular problem....

Not sure where TSC in Texas gets their birds, you might contact them and track down the hatchery. Mine were initially identified as Cuckoo's, but a quick call to the hatchery concluded that they did not carry that breed. Barred Rocks are all over the place in appearance. Ours have the grey on the front of their legs, but yellow on the back.

Hatcheries are usually pretty clean with breeds (except for the Ameraucana/Easter Egger thing, annoying...). I'm thinking that they got Cuckoo Marans mixed up with Barred Rocks. Marans can lay lay chocolate eggs, but only really good quality ones lay the darkest. And the chicks look alike, too.
