Barred Rocks, Pink or Blue? - Please help

They both look like cockerels. Female Barred Rocks have darker plumage, and males have much lighter plumage.

Thank you everyone. I initially thought #2 was a pullet cos the comb was much smaller and not as red as #1's, now they both look like cockerels except that #2 is actually much paler than #1 (unfortunately the photos don't really show this) aside from being darker #1 definitely looks like a cockerel to me, is it common to have a variation in colour between males? Feeling a little confused.
