Barred Welsummer cross?

Wonder if he's a cuckoo/copper maran mix?

If that were the cross, the white legs/skin color would be dominant and the legs would be white instead of yellow.

BUT, it's perfectly plausible that the Welsummer could be the mother!

There's no telling. The folks I bought them from also brought white cornish rocks. I think the three I bought were the "special chicks" with the order. Those rocks were the biggest chickens I've ever seen. Their breasts were as wide as a turkey!

Another thing I noticed today is that his comb and waddle are much larger than the RIR rooster.

The folks really didn't know anything about chickens. It was sad, actually. They sold the rock hens for $5 each and gave the rooster away. I bought the RIR hen and rooster and this guy for $10. I offered to pay $10 for the RIR hen and rooster, but the husband asked that I take both roosters so they could leave.
