Hi

I have a couple of basic egg laying questions that I don't really know.

1. How long will a hen lay eggs for, her whole life or only a short while?

2. Is there any difference in the nutrition of an egg that has been fertilized? I have a rooster so my eggs are fertilized and I sell them and people always ask. I have been told that there is no difference, but I though I would check with you well educated chicken folk on this forum.

Thanks so much you guys on this forum are GREAT!!-

She will lay for her whole life, not regularly as she gets older, but she will still lay.

Nope, no difference on the nutrion between fertilized and non. Unless you have a religious taboo against it, like the Jewish religion, then you can eat them.
