Barred rocks lay every 1-2 days, so if you get a few of those, you won't get as many. Cochins lay 2-3 a week, but they start laying much later in life (8+ months).

Also, you could consider selling eggs to friends and family, and even close neighbors if you do end up with to many eggs.

4 Golden sex links would give you a steady 3-4 eggs a day and less of a feed bill than some heritage heavier breeds would. 4 hens are enough for them to keep each other company as a flocking bird.
