Baskets?

I am interested in learning how to make baskets. Does anyone have any good tips on books, materials, etc? I do not know anything about making them but really would like to learn how!

I started a post - "basket maker here" in the hobbie section. It shows some photos of some of the baskets I made.

My suggestion would be to find a class to take in your area. One that would be for beginners and then you will have a "hands on" experience. There may be a basket makers guild in your area and they may be able to direct you to someone who gives classes.

I started by taking a couple of classes and when I learned the basics, etc., I just started looking for patterns on my own and making them.
