Don't want to be a killjoy but...

Puppy Mill or not, this breeder produces WAY too many litters a year to properly socialize.

They do not test for genetic diseases (hip dysplasia, etc.)

5 day health guarantee? Wow, that's not going to do much good. Whether the pup gets parvo (7-10 day incubation) or develops hip dysplasia .... http://www.offa.org/stats.html#breed , select basset hound.

AKC registration doesn't mean much anymore (unless all/some the dogs on the pedigrees have titles to mean something about that dog's line of breeding, or/and have been DNA tested ). I have seen dogs with "papers" that look like mixes.

Last but not least, I have heard of/seen worse breeders than this. They do some stuff right. Neverless....they are breeding for profit.

P.S. When picking a puppy in a litter, personality should always come first

Hmm if they have 10 LITTERS of puppies at ONE given time to choose from they are MOST definately a puppy mill. How very very sad. Find a breeder who has 1 litter a year! This person wants $900 PER puppy and they will not even be socialized with that many puppies running around.

Be carefull what you say, and how you say it. The mods will be quick to close this thread if it get's out of hand.

Henry I love puppy #3, but in the end it is your choice.......I say let the puppy pick you.

I think all those dogs look super healthy and happy and have excellent living conditions. Show breeders do breed lots of dogs. This may be a bit more than usual but they have the space and, maybe, the time as well.

The dogs are looking...even posing for the camera. In the pics, you can see the dogs coming toward whomever is the photographer. These are happy, affectionate animals and look good.

It does seem a bit much at first, but I like their head-on approach on the website. This is what we do and how we do it!! "Puppy Mill" is thrown around a lot. Let's save it for someone who deserves it.

BTW, I like #3 girl. My brother had one just like her named, Abbey. She was his best friend for 15 long years.

Thanks eveyone I guess this escalated quickly I think I might ask the Mod's to close it I apreciate the insight but I never asked for a critique of the breeder. Everyone's defenition of Puppy Mill is different.

Henry
