Three weeks ago yesterday I recieved my order from Mc Murray. (29 chicks, all but one survived.) I asked for a mix of good layers with two roos and my free exotic. I do not know who is who, or what is what. Any help sorting them out would be appreciated! These pics represent the different breeds I have. I am guess ing the one in my avitar is my exotic, as I only have one like him/her.

I'm thinking minorca or australorp on #1. Black star on #2. Red star on #3. Barred rock on #4. Not sure on the possible rare and exotic, but I wonder if she's an EE?

The exotic doesn't have green legs. EE's do.

I am not sure number 4 is a barred rock. I have never seen one with that much white on its face. Could it be a barred leghorn?

Any help with telling who is a roo? I split an order with a guy from the next town and we each wanted one roo. For the life of me, I am not seeing any signs as yet. When I bought the last batch of chickens from the feed store, the owner did some sort of trick with a needle and thread. But I can't remember the specifics. (She ended up being right tho!)

No GLW in those pics. I just got a batch of BR cockerels this morning, and none of them have that much white under their chin either. McMurray doesn't have barred leghorns, though.

Not all EE's have green legs. Many do, not all. I can't think of what other rare and exotic that would be, though. Is her comb straight? I can't really tell, but looks like it may be. If so, it probably isn't an EE.
