Bathe new duckling?

Had to help this little one out last night as it got stuck . It’s eyes are a little gunky and it has some shell stuck to it . Should I bathe it’s eyes and back or leave it

I'd clear the eyes, but leave the back for now - perhaps picking off the shell depending upon on how stuck they are.
