We had a silkie get pecked last month. (https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=5035172) The bird has been in our spare bathtub for the past month, and is about healed. There's a few spots of dried blood on her feathers, and she STINKS. Not as bad as 5 chicks in the bathtub this past spring, but it definitely doesn't smell nice when you open the door.

I found the thread with lots of pics, and I'd love to follow that plan.

However, I think it might turn into high comedy, because the bird has never been bathed. How do you go about training/conditioning the bird that the bath is a good thing?

Help!
