Bathing Beauties - not so much :P *Pic HEAVY*

They love it!
In fact they relax so much, I have to keep one hand underneath them or they would drown themselves.

I used baby hypo-allergenic shampoo (the kind that comes in a yellow bottle).

Their feathers are soooo much softer now. And they smell good!!

Catalina,
Those chickens are adorable!!! I can't wait to get mine.

That is too funny

Did you have to get them used to bathing or were they relaxed with it from the start?

I think they like getting a bath. It really helps get the dirt and mites and fleas off. I was disgusted by how dirty the water in my sink was after I washed off my Brahma Snowbirdy.

I loved the picture of the one that looks like she is sleeping under the towel.

What awesome pictures!

They didn't really have a choice!

I plopped them (one at a time) into the bath when it was already full of water.
They each get bathed indvidually.
I think they feel safer when the water is deep enough to cover their back and tail.
I couldn't take a pic of the funniest part. When I rinse them off I turn the faucet on, check the temp and then with two hands pick the hen up and move her back and forth through the stream of water.
They even let me lay them on their back to rinse their belly!
That really surprised me!

Wow, I learned something else new today! Lol I never knew you could bathe chickens. Now I know what I'm doing when the weather gets warmer. My family is going to think I'm totally nuts now

First I have to say... Peeking out from underneath that green towel, so cute!

Second...If my DH came home and saw me bent over the bathtub with soggy chickens running around the bathroom, he would, step back quietly, shut the door ..... and call the men who bring the white coat with all the buckles on it to come and get me(and take me away!
