I have 4 Bantams 1 Roo and 3 hens, they have always gotten along pretty well but here lately the 2 bigger hens have been picking one the smallest one and it’s like they no longer want her as part of the flock! She hide and they hunt her down, will they stop this behavior or should I separate her from the flock there approximately 10 or 11 months old now

Who else came here to see 'Batman'? :hmm

Have you seen any signs of odd behavior or possible illness from the hen who is being picked on? The weak members of the flock who show's signs of illness or odd behavior will usually get picked on by others.

I have not noticed anything odd or and she doesn’t seem in anyway sick, just think it is odd that the others have shunning her, possibility just because she is the smallest Hen idk looked in the coop to check it they all went in the other night and I didn’t see her on the roost as usual, she was laying in the nesting box behind my frizzle Roo where he sleeps since he was just a chick( never seen him fly just jumped a few time don’t think he can get up on the roost lol like he was protecting her for the other 2 hens

Just wondering if I should put her in her own run? I hate to put her by her self, but don’t want them to hurt her, any advice on that? Or you think they will eventually back of her and except her again

I would not separate her unless serious injury or blood is drawn. She may be more miserable if isolated from the others.
She is lowest on the pecking order, most flocks have one of these.
Giving your birds lots of room and things to do will help this situation. Make sure there are 2 separate feeding and water stations so she is not kept away from food and water.
I actually have a mixed flock of standard and bantams and my one jap hen actually is pretty bossy with the others. She will be eating at the feeder and another big hen will join her and she raises her head stares at the newcomer, kind of growels and takes a step closer, at which time the other hen dodges away to a safe distance. Maybe SHE is batman!
Good luck!
