~Battle for Survival~ A African Wild dog Roleplay

Jake shook nia awake.
Nia's eyes adjusted to the low light of the den. Cloudy skies filtered sunlight through a large opening stretching the length of the opposite side of the den.
Kala lifted her head slowly, surveying the area. She glanced at Omari and Obi ad then back at the antelope herd.
Omari managed to slow his breathing, but his heart was still pounding with excitement. He quickly swung his legs over an unusual shaped rock, then tentatively put weight on his paws.

Jake asked her,"i was thinking, would you like to start a pack with me?"

Nia was still feeling the shock of his words when a vaguely familiar wild dog walked by the maw of the den and dropped a hare inside before trotting off. She had no trouble standing and felt each muscle spring back to life, coiled and taut, ready for anything. "Yes, of course," her eyes were bright with excitement.

Jake was looking at the dog," who was that? and thanks."

Kala crept forward slowly. The thrill of the hunt always excited her, but always kept glancing back at Obi to make sure his inexperience didn't reveal them. Obi followed behind the two older wild dogs. He did his best to remain calm.

Nia's muzzle quivered before she opened her jaws in a smile. "That must've been one of the packmates dropping by to check up on us," she stared at Jake innocently.

Omari caught the delicate scent of distant prey and stopped, digging his paws into the earth. Lifting his muzzle to the wind, he inhaled, allowing the distinctive dirt-and-hoof aroma to sink into the back of his throat. All at once, blood rushed to the sensitive spot just behind his ears. His mouth began to water at the promise of the hunt, and every muscle in his body hungered for the chase.
Sierra glanced over her shoulder to see if Foluke was running after them.
Foluke's muscles bunched and he ran, putting on a burst of speed that surprised him.

Kala's keen eyes spotted an antelope with a limp at the back of the herd. She quickly flicked her large ears for the others to see it.

"Oh, do you think we should ask if anyone wants to join the new pack with us?"(I know real dogs they'd just go join a pack, I just want to have that!) Jake asked her, nudging her.

Omari dipped his head in acknowledgment and split apart from them. He stalked the weak antelope, moving slowly until he was close behind it. The antelope stumbled and began to run away from him. It was afraid, and he could smell it. By then the rest of the herd had scattered, fearing that they would be targeted.
