Hello! I have owned chickens since I was 11! I am 23 now, but hey, every year there’s something new to learn. I am new to this website, so I am excited to ask lots of questions, rather than relying on a search engine that’s going to use ai to generate answers
I have my four 2 week old chicks right now, wasn’t really planning on doing chicks this year but here we are. I’ve noticed a few things about these chicks- considering they are from Hoovers. I work at my local farm store, and I happen to watch over the chicks. I essentially took home the ones that were forgotten or no one else was going to take them! But, these chicks are sickly in general. Sneezing already, I took one home that had wry neck- has since been corrected with Vita E(probiotics solution&electrolyte) and one was a runt. I noticed today that one of her toes was broken, or askew- not sure how that happened, I used some vet wrap and wrapped two of her toes on a cardboard cut out of her toes. Hopefully that helps! The other two are fine but occasionally sneezing. Going to try a drop of VetRx on their shoulder blades, see if that helps. Any other recommendations on sneezing in chicks. Haven’t had an issue in the past with respiratory issues so, this is new for me.
