I grew up on a 250 acre farm in Hawesville KY, and Believe it or not... We didn't have chickens... Now they do
I get a lot of my answers from my Mom.
My Husband and I have a mixed breed flock of 34 on our 11 acres....acquired from his daughter and SIL when they decided to move to town. I am in LOVE with them. It's my happy spot... Relaxing to watch them and interesting to see how the pecking order runs
I can't wait to gather eggs everyday!! Currently being gifted 13-16 per day.
I found this forum while google searching a couple of questions and it has now become my go to for answers! Figured I may as well join the flock!
THANK YOU and HELLO from KY to everyone!!

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
