I grew up on a 250 acre farm in Hawesville KY, and Believe it or not... We didn't have chickens... Now they do:eek:I get a lot of my answers from my Mom.
My Husband and I have a mixed breed flock of 34 on our 11 acres....acquired from his daughter and SIL when they decided to move to town. I am in LOVE with them. It's my happy spot... Relaxing to watch them and interesting to see how the pecking order runs :) I can't wait to gather eggs everyday!! Currently being gifted 13-16 per day.
I found this forum while google searching a couple of questions and it has now become my go to for answers! Figured I may as well join the flock!

Like catwhisperer said advice is in abundance here, along with empathy when needed, opinions when asked for, and sometimes when not, and occasionally humor. More often than not, someone will respond when they know the answer, and sometimes when they don't. Welcome home to BYC..:jumpy
