Hi everyone! I'm so excited to *finally* have a reason to join BYC...after months of dreaming we finally got our first chicks! Or should I say H.E.N (Henrietta, Eggberta, and Nestlé...get it?). There's been a lot of firsts recently, actually. We just moved to the bay area a year and a half ago, the chicks came home about 3 weeks ago, and how we're looking to buy our first home (in a chicken-friendly part of the bay, of course!).
Our family consists of myself (Alex), my husband Patrick, our dogs Lillian Lou and Tuula Tallulah, and our three clucks, an Ameraucana, a Barred Rock, and a Light Brahma! In the coming weeks we will certainly be looking for advice from other bay area chicken enthusiasts on local laws, city ordinances, etc, and are looking forward to the camaraderie of all the good folks here on BYC!
